Henriot by Alain Passard - Asparagus, pear with lemon and red so

The nice gesture passion and Brittany are both common to Chef Alain Passard’s and Henriot-Quimper’s history.

Putting together different know-how’s to create this collection of plates inspired by Alain Passard’s collages is not quite surprising.

After several months of research and experimentations, the “Alain Passard by Henriot” serving plates have gone out of the oven for the very first time.

According to Alain Passard’s collages extracted from his book “Collages et Recettes”, published by Alternatives Editions, four models have been created.

Asparagus, pear with lemon and red sorrel

Pear and black radish with Parmesan tapenade
Purple emotion with Parmesan cheese

Light-purple turnip and yellow lemon seasoned with black pepper

All of the plates are hand-decorated by painters from the earthenware manufacture of Quimper.

They are each unique.

Alain Passard was born in Brittany, in the gourmet village of La-Guerche-de-Bretagne. He inaugurated his restaurant Arpège in 1986 and became famous for his roasting talents.

However, in early 2000, a lack of creativity gives him the idea of focusing on vegetables, something that has been occurring up until today. Alain Passard created his own vegetable gardens in the French regions of Sarthe, Eure and Manche, producing approximately 50 tons of produce for the Parisian restaurant.

In 2010, he published “Collages et Recettes”, a review of illustrated recipes with his collages. Since 2012, the Chef has added another string to his bow by exposing in his Arrière Cuisine his creations and bronze sculptures.
